My Typhoon shows the ground most of the time and the horizon other times but I haven't figured out how to change it back and forth.

I had the same issue, the wheel underneath right side of ST16 is where you pan up and down, when and if you calibrate it you need to end up half way between both stops. approximately 45°. I scratched in a mark (45°) on the ST16 next to the wheel. My issue when I calibrated I was ending up all the way up or down not in between.
