I’m trying to find out the most recent differences between the 16 and 16S. Would love some feedback if it’s worth upgrading to the S.

The ST16S is used with the Typhoon H Plus, H520, and the H3 (all which measure 520mm from motor to motor across the aircraft).
The ST16 is used with the Typhoon H, H Pro (RealSense), and the Tornado H920+. There are two versions of the ST16 which are electrically the same. The difference is in the location of the antennas. The original version had two antennas mounted externally, a 2.4GHz whip antenna for the RC and a 5.8GHz WiFi mushroom for video control and feed. The 2.4GHz telemetry antenna, a 2.4GHz WiFi antenna, and the GPS antenna are mounted internally.
The second version took the internal 2.4GHz telemetry antenna and mounted it externally so there are two whip antennas and the mushroom (or square patch). There is very little difference between the two versions as far as range, unless you use a third party range extender.

Please be aware the ST16S will not work for any model designed for the ST16. The ST16 will not work for any model drone designed for the ST16S.

It sometimes takes some odd manipulations to make it happen, but the main thing here is to clarify the above statement is NOT CORRECT as written. I have a TH Plus and a ST16 (3 antennas) so I guess ST16+
Works perfect (beside the latest J1 stick debacle)
If I understand you correctly the ST16S is not an option for me then ?
I ask because the GUI seem much more fun
I am still a little confused. You said "I have a TH Plus", but the picture in your avatar is a Typhoon H Pro. Do you have both?
So.. the Pro will not work with the ST16S?
Is there mostly cosmetics and GUI updates in the S ? Same functionality on the 16+?

I think you already have an ST16S. Both are labeled as simply ST16. The easiest way to confirm is to look at the battery. The ST16 battery is under a slide out door, and connects to the controller by wires. The ST16S battery is a one piece unit that slides into connectors built into the controller.
