Range difference H vs H pro

An easy way to find out would be to call Horizon CS and ask. Yuneec made some Blade products but nobody mentions which ones. Spectrum radios came into being before Yuneec started making hobby grade products and it’s possible they use a secondary manufacturer/supplier for their transmitters, as Horizon does the same. Horizon Hobby makes very little, contracting out to numerous jobbers for manufacturing different brand items. Tower/Great Planes does similar.

Yuneec is said to have started making RC model Planes in 1995 and the first electric RTF plane. I find it hard to believe they were not directly involved with Horizon as they have made many breakthroughs themselves. When I started RC about 9 years ago I had been away from this hobby for decades, my only RC experience was with cars and trucks in the 1980's whereas RC planes were very expensive. So when I got back into this 9 years ago I was pleasantly surprised to see what was available especially all the electric powered planes. Naturally as an Electrician I was instantly hooked. I was a Horizon Hobby Fanatic.

Horizon has been pretty good with their RTF and BnF electric aircraft. Bear in mind Great Planes had a bit of a jump on them but the early Electra-fly models weren’t all that good, frequently being grossly underpowered.

I tried the RC car thing for awhile but having been flying for long before that the lack of the third dimension left cars a little flat for me. So I ended the cars and got busy with 3D aircraft and went giant scale about the time 25%+ ARF kits started hitting the market. 3D electrics started hitting center stage at the Tucson Aerobatic Shootout about 10-12 years ago but the cost and weight was prohibitive so I stayed with gas twins. The transition to multirotors a few years ago was a pleasant change but flight controllers weren’t as good as they are now so risk was a lot higher. You have to admit, it’s pretty hard to crash now unless you run into something or drain a battery flat. For the record, I still have a couple of JR 72MHz radios, a 9303 and 8102. JR smoked the precision servo market when they released their first coreless servos and only got better with their digitals. Feel the Difference indeed!

BTW, I really would like to see you do well. If you have questions where I can be of help, please ask.

They have always had the two RC antennas near the landing gear. Only difference is they added a couple plastic tubes over them with the H Pro. The same wire antennas are inside the tubes. I mentioned that earlier. There have been zero actual changes to the H RC antennas, just some tubular cosmetics.

Again, all versions now have the plastic tubes.
