SD card placement

Would someone please explain when or why I would choose to put the SD card in the controller rather than in the camera? I'm obviously new at this and the manual does not cover this. Thanks

You will need two cards. One for the Camera. The other should be in the controller under the battery. The one in the controller will capture Telemetry Data for you in case you have a problem. If you are contacting YUNEEC they will want to see the data on that card under the battery. You can use the 8gb Card that came with the outfit for the one under the battery in the controller. The Camera card needs to be a better quality card and something large enough like a 32g or 64g.

Thanks for the clarification from my side as well. Was really wondering about the controller sd card. Even more so as it was nowhere to be mentioned in all those many youtube reviews.
