I'm hoping for some pilots to share their best practices or suggestions

Background:
I have 2 TH480 each have a CGO3+ and an ST16,

What are the things I should be aware of to start swapping CGO3+ gimbals between the TH480s?

I'd like to keep each ST16 for use with a specific TH480. I'm not looking to use the ST16 on both TH480s.

Hope this makes sense.

As I deal with this as well I've found assuring that both systems, ST-16, aircraft, and camera, are using the same firmware simplifies things. Regardless of the firmware in use you will likely need to bind the camera again every time you change cameras between aircraft to assure communications recognition. That's pretty much all there is to swapping cameras between your aircraft.

I would think it would be easier to make a 2nd "H" icon profile on the st16 one labeled "H CAM #1" and other labeled "H CAM #2" this should work so you can switch between each birds profiles.

I swap cameras around all the time no problem. I just refresh and bind to the swapped camera. The first time you have to enter the default password but after your ST sees both of them once, it should stop asking for passwords. I’d consider making the two model set up if I were to change any of my custom gimbal curves but since all my cameras are same focal length, my profiles are consistent across all my Hs.

I forgot to say that this is done when all is booted and connected. You don’t have to start from cold bind as the camera WiFi just needs power to be found. You won’t touch the H side of the bind list, only the camera. You can easily make your second ST a monitor as well as it’s most likely already bound to the swapped camera.

I see your point but i find it easier to make to different profiles so all i have to do it hit the profile i want. no binding of cams needed.

In my experience with a CGO3+ and a CGOet, once you bind them, you won't need to enter the password, but you will have to bind them every time you swap, even if you make seperate profiles.

Just for clarity.... when you guys say "BIND" to the camera or a profile you mean: leave flight mode and go to SYSTEM SETTINGS, BIND, then select the camera or profile on the ST-16

Yes that what they mean. rebinding the camera every time you swop out the cams to the same bird., I have made 2 profiles on the same st16 for 2 different "H" i can switch between birds .just by tapping on witch one i want. this will work the same way if it was the same bird with a different profile for each cam. only have to bind once . Good luck witch ever way you do it.
