Connecting a CG03 camera to a Q500+ drone

About the last "home cure" is to "vigorously stir the associated Pot" (which in plain language means move the tilt slider up and down real fast for about 15 seconds).
Then see if it makes any difference at all.

It didn't make any difference.

About a minute after I powered up the drone and connected it to the controller, the camera suddenly rotated on multiple axes and tried to continue rotating. It eventually reached a point where it couldn't rotate anymore; in this position, the entire gimbal began shaking and making a strange noise. Is it possible that the motors tried to "continue" beyond their limit?

This also occurred a few seconds after I tried the 15-second method.

The position feedback magnet. Await a bit, someone will post pictures.

What does "Magnet" refer to, in this case?

Each of the three motors have position sensors. Each sensor uses a ring magnet. The magnets are subject to spontaneous degradation. It is rare for the large Yaw magnet to fail, but the one on the pitch motor and the one on the roll motor are pretty bad about this.
The pitch motor magnet is under the right-hand "CGo3" label, arm cover, and pitch sensor.
The Roll motor magnet is under the rear "Yuneec" label, the rear arm cover, and the roll motor position sensor.
As @Vaklin said, images are helpful in evaluating the magnet. Also be sure to use a small screwdriver to check the strength of the magnet. The magnets loose part of their magnetism before any sign of corruption appears. See image below.
The bad part is that it is still a shop repair. The best source of magnets are crashed cameras. And calibration is the same propriety firmware mentioned above. It is sometimes possible to get the magnet right without using the software, but it is tedious and often not successful.
