that's what vin# and LIcense plates are for. Cops can be behind you and know everything . Try a border crossing into Canada. They have cameras everywhere and can I.D. everyone in vehicle, they know when you came across last etc. Keith C.
They can also sniff radioisotopes. I have a Canadian friend that lives and works in the US that had a medical procedure done using a radioactive tracer. He was coming back to the US after visiting his parents in Canada two weeks after having this procedure, the border patrol had him pull over and started questioning him. Finally asked him if he had any medical procedures done lately. Quite impressive!

Although newer cars broadcast who they are through GPS (if anyone doubts that just check with automakers and car rental agencies, they know where you are) my best guess ties the RID and flight data storage to our Patriot Act.

It’s also an easy way to review flight data long after the fact for violations and follow on court cases. We might also consider at least one drone company, and likely other business, have been restructuring to collect and store data for various monetary purposes. Without an ID they have nothing to attribute collected data.

When we register the drones aren't we suppose to have a reg # on it? Now they want an electronic ID correct?

A direct ? for you @PatR and others that want to chime in. Do you think the gov't should be monitoring our flight paths and have complete access to all of our data because were flying a drone?

I equate it to having a driving recorder and the police busting us everytime we go over the speed limit my 1mph. There is no crime of speeding until it violates a person, their rights, their property or the environment willfully or negligently.

My point is that not registering should be a fine. Registration should be free in order to make sure the gov't can go after those that willfully or negligently break natural laws. A posted speed limit is a guideline which has become a way for gov't to drain our pockets under the guise of safety.

Cops/FAA are not time cops. The gov't is a modern day minority report fining us for what may happen.

Absolutely not!

The concept creates serious concerns for infringement of our right to freedom of movement, not to mention right against self incrimination and illegal search. The Supreme Court has already ruled LEA’s can’t place a tracking device on a private vehicle without a warrant.

Most new cars in UK now have eCall fitted, it uses mobile phone networks for tracking and SOS calls, one problem found now is that the sim card and device in some vehicles are 2G only and a complete module will be required when 2G is switched off.

Glad to see you and I are on the old school, old fart constitutional wave. It's amazing to me that most people are OK with the gov't invading every aspect of our lives.

When did we as a nation become completely oblivious to 1984 occuring?

You already knew what I thought[emoji6][emoji106]

It started with a shift in the public school curriculum over 40 years ago. Teaching socialist ideology became more important than the 3 R’s. Universities are even worse. Send a kid raised in a conservative household to college. You’ll be astounded at what they believe after a couple years. You can’t sway them until they start generating their own wealth, when suddenly what’s theirs is theirs instead of everyone’s. When the tax bite starts to hurt the eyelids finally come up.

I had a pretty good idea where you stood. We've forgotten the golden rule or the God Constitution. Very few in any school are taught about the 25k Patriots that gave their lives fighting a gov't that wanted to oppress and control us with regs and taxes. The idiots were producing in govercation have no idea what a Boston Tea Party is or who we fought in the revolutionary war.

I've had 3 kids go through college. Luckily they've got an ahole father that preached to them to see through the propaganda. The persevering gov't propaganda supported by news media is overwhelming. Anytime someone like B Sanders is a serious contender for president should be a wake up call to everyone in the US.

I think the only way to combat the oppression and control is for us to get together and stop paying taxes until the gov't shaves off a buttload of weight and begins to defend the constitution and the natural laws. Until then I'd like to say that the gov't can stick the drone regs up their fat heine and let us self govern until we violate the constitution and the natural laws.
