Hey all,
I have notice while flying that sometimes my rudder control on my H turns at a rate expected and other times very slow or hardly moves...

Just seeing if anyone else has had this issue.

I was viewing my advanced channel settings last night and saw that the rudder stick out put would vary from 1% throw at maximum to 98% throw at maximum... Each time I moved the stick from center to left or right it would be a different throw output percentage...

Could this just be a bad control pot?

Thanks in advance
T

The solution may be the same as explained in this thread.

Problem with h520 yaw

Take a look at it and tell us how it went.

It's best to use Hardware Monitor to check sticks, switches and sliders. When you check J2 you will likely see it is sluggish or not responding properly. The sticks will need cleaned. Watch this video starting at about minute 2:26. It's not in English but you will get the idea. Turn the power off before cleaning and keep moving the stick when spraying.

As @arruntus suggested, check out Problem with h520 yaw

@Steve Carr and @arruntus helped me sort the yaw issue. I had the same symptoms. Sometimes turning well, other times not. And when checking channels showed the yaw control only partially moving or wandering. Do the suggestion of cleaning the control using contact cleaner as suggested in the post. Worked for me, and the yaw is fixed (well, after 3 flights it seems to be!)

Good luck.

Yeah, it's the H480. With the photos he can guide himself anyway.
