Don’t laugh too loud, but the first two military UAV’s I flew used military sealed batteries about the size of a small motorcycle battery to power the electrical system. The systems did not have generators to replenish the batteries, nor were they recharged after use. Brutally expensive and disposed of after every flight. More fodder for base burn pits.

A cool $222.7 million each. That's reasonable!
