Error code - menu preferences not saved, fail

This is ANGLE mode. Up is SMART, down is RTH.
His rear LED is flashing blue. The mode switch will not work until we help him get a successful bind.

For clarification, yes, he got a successful factory reset.
The Factory Reset guideline he was using finishes the reset with re-entering "setup information and contains "new model" creation and "binding" sequences. The actual factory reset was successful. The built-in binding sequence failed.
We are currently working through the binding verification document to try to find the issue with binding. He also may have a compass issue, and we may need to deal with that as well.

I bet for a defective power amplifier in the SR24 module in the ST16.
Peobably the remote was switched on without aerial.

Depending to actual skills of the owner the best solution is to send to someone for tests and repair.

Let he try to bind it in very close distance like a few centimetres from the drone's antenna .

Ok I got as close as possible and ran the search. I also moved the switch in the upper right up and down with the controller next to the drone. Nothing.

Ok I re-read the instructions. I missed the part about the yellow light being on the left, bottom. I was looking at the top.

I do see a yellow light blinking on the left, bottom.

I guess keep moving. The diversion to check things on the ST16 and play with the mode switch may have compromised the validity of the verification. I hope not, but please, it would be good if you don't diverge until the verification is complete.

Where do I start now?
If the orange LED is still flashing rapidly in the lower left rear vent, we need to figure out if the problem is in the drone or in the ST16.
It may be worth starting the verification over to ensure the sequence was not compromised, but I would hate to do that unless needed.

For right now:
Do you have any other Yuneec controllers available to see if they can pick up the signal?
Do you have any other Yuneec Drone to see if it can produce a signal your controller can see?
