Dear All,

Happy new year to everyone!

I've read that the battery lifetime is limited and lasts about 100 cycles.

What happens then? Will it fail suddenly so the typhoon falls out of the air or do we just notice shorter flight times?

Is there a way to check the power supply?

Thank you and cheers

Battery life time is controlled by several factors; quality of materials, assembly, storage voltage and temperature, levels of discharge during use, charge rates, battery temperature at time of charge, cell balancing, and internal resistance. Only two of those are not under the control of the end user.

With the right equipment it is not difficult to check the state of a battery. Unfortunately that can't be done with the charger included with the H. An after market charger with the correct functions and battery adapter will permit accurate condition tracking. There have been numerous threads discussing such charges in this forum. A well cared for battery should achieve more than 100 charge/discharge cycles. How it is used and cared for will determine what you get. Beat one up through deep discharging and hot charging and you might see it last only 50 cycles or so.
