CG03+ spins continuously after crash/repair

My friend crashed his Typhoon H pretty bad causing damage to the camera housing, gimbal assy and slip ring. I was able to replace the housing and slip ring, but now the gimbal yaw motor spins non stop after power up.

Any suggestions?

BTW, this YouTube video is what I used to repair the slip ring connector.

Your friend should probably call Yuneec.

We will tomorrow, but thought someone here might have seen the problem before.

There must be some way that the yaw motor knows the center position.

I'm afraid there was damage to the assembly we cannot see.

After a firmware update my camera/gimbal went in to a continuous rotation. The cause was that I'd done a camera calibration in the field and I failed to power cycle the aircraft before taking off so it began spinning once it was in the air. The solution: Landed and power cycled. No issue since.

Got an RMA. Sending off to TX for repair. Hold time was about half an hour.

No need to send in to Yuneec if you replaced the Yaw Gimbal Motor. Not since this new technique and calibration adjuster part have been made.
